My focus in the consulting session is on hearing from you what the story is that you are trying to tell, then discussing what is reflected on the page or screen thus far, all with the goal of helping you realize your intentions in the most skillful and artful way possible.

Since my approach is wholly dependent upon having a dialogue with the writer or director, I work with clients directly, meeting either in person, on the phone or on Skype. Each consulting session lasts two hours.

For projects that are partially or fully funded for production:

3 session commitment suggested.

For projects not yet funded:

6-10 session commitment, depending on the screenplay’s state of development.

To help you determine if I am the right consultant for your project, you can send me a one to three page synopsis of your story and the first ten to fifteen pages of your script, and I will give you a short “pre-consult” (up to a half hour) on the phone. My regular rate is $200 per hour (for both reading and meeting time). But I am willing to adjust fees according to the project’s budget.
