Doing research to support your story can feel like you’re not making much concrete progress. But it all goes into your unconscious and informs your creative decisions going forward. I didn’t think I had much to report from last week until I looked over my various scribbles and found a nice little scene fragment that read the full article.

At the urging of my students, I am sharing my creative process on the third draft of my retelling of the Robin Hood story from Marian’s point of view.
